Ken Li (China) will be providing and contacting you regarding applying for a travel visa... Contact will be made after the technical meeting in China the first week in May.
Obviously international traveling officials need to have a valid passport. Depending on the country you are coming from, you may need a visa to enter the People’s Republic of China. Please check your State Department and the People’s Republic of China website for specifics. It’s possible you can apply on-line. If not, you may need to go to a China Consulate to complete this process. Fees may vary from country to country. Check also to see if your country is part of the Visa Waiver Program. In most cases you should simply list your travel as tourism. When completing your application for visa, the address for HUC South Campus hotel is: 138 Tongda St., Dao Li District, Harbin, China, Postal Code: 150076. Tel: +86 451 8677 1000. Ken Ki is our contact person: Ken Li, Faculty of Physical Education, Harbin University of Commerce, #1 Xue Hai Road, Song Bei District, Harbin, China, 150028. Tel: +86 139 0118 0208. Ken is the technical associate of American football.

Did already start an visa application. Can I assume after the technical committee meeting we'll be receiving a letter of invitation. That's one of the VISA application requirements. Same goes for the request fo an Itinerary?!?

Ken Li said he would send a letter out to everyone on the staff... in one of the posts, I put the address of Harbin University, Ken's phone number, etc. Possibly your visa app may be different than mine or someone else's app.

Bill, sorry but can't find any posts regarding the letter by Ken Li other than mentioned in your post. Next to a lot of useless and also personal info they ask for a letter of invitation and my travel itinerary of China ?!?!? And as a true Dutch man I feel compelled to complain about the fee their asking ;-) holy **** 200$...... Ah well not something you can fix for me ......can you? You're a influential personality are you not ?!?! Anyway if Ken Li could provide those 2 documents in some way shape or form that would be highly appreciated so I can proceed with the application. The Visa requirements for Brits visiting China (under a Tourist visa) also require a letter of invitation or proof of hotel booking.
I'll await the conclusion of the Technical meeting in May.

In Hungary the letter of invitation is also essential in the Visa process. The invitation letter must include: (1) Hotel booking, travel itinary, (2) invited person's personal datas (name, gender, date of birth etc), (3) date of arrival/departure and visited places, (4) inviter organisation/person's datas (name, phone, address, official seal, signature) The invitation letter may be in english, or chinese, the signature must be chinese.
If all the necessary documents are provided, the process takes 1 week.

Hi Bill,
Do we have any more info from the technical meeting? We can't progress the visas without the invite.

I emailed Ken Li (and several other IFAF reps) on Saturday... yesterday and provided him with everyone's email information and asked that the information on visas be sent ASAP to all the officials. I have not received any response back from Ken or other IFAF reps. If we don't hear anything back by the time I get back to Tokyo tonight I will resend it.

From Ken Li... NOTE... This is simple... do it immediately PLEASE !!!
Dear All, I received from Bill LeMonnier the referee name list. Welcome all and thank you for coming to the U19 WC in Harbin. Re the visa application process, LOC will need the following details for sending the invitation letter. 1) your family name, first and middle name as shown on the passport 2) your date of birth 3) your passport number 4) your passport issue and expire date The quicker we get this info, the earlier we may send out the letter to you. Bill, could you please double check if I missed anyone or if there are more names to come ? I'm sure there will be questions, so feel free to ask. Thank you all. Ken Li china_afu@163.com
